Ozzie Nelson was born on March 20, 1906, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Best remembered today for the popular and long-running sitcom he created and costarred on with his family, Nelson began his career as a musician, leading a popular dance orchestra in the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s.
