The passing of Jennifer Jones, whose work I have enjoyed often over the years, left me feeling a bit blue (though she led a good, long life, hanging in there till the age of 90). It sometimes feels as though there’s no one left from the Golden Age of Hollywood. But it cheers me a bit to realize that there are more fondly remembered performers from the era still with us than one might expect.
